Hiya, well here I am, first blog on our long adventure to the Hebrides!! Me Linzi 27, hubby Jon 38, and the tribe Connor,Amy-lou,Kaitlyn, Amber-marie & Sophie-Mai ......Lot's of people may think we have taken leave of our senses (and maybe we agree???) but hey you only live once! We have spent a week on the beautiful isle of lewis before and now we are going to be basing our whole lives there!
We want to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and want somewhere quite and peaceful to bring our family up...anyone who knows me well will know that we have moved up and down England from Bolton to Southampton to Peterborough to find somewhere to settle! Our latest moves have taken us to Doncaster ( where we have some truly amazing life-long friends) then out to Belton, where lets face it we don't fit in!!! We desperately long for somewhere to call home which feels safe..again anyone who knows me well will know why I say that!
I have started my own business which is going from strength to strength which we are working on very,very hard to make a huge success!!! But If we don't make a huge step now we never will!! God Help the Hebrides when we descend is all I can say!!!
On our week long visit we spent many minutes if not hours speaking to truly genuine people up there who wouldn't choose anywhere else in the world to bring there children up, happy peaceful and safe!!! Our tribe loved it and didn't want to come home-but who wouldn't with beautiful white beaches on the doorstep??
We are now 4 working days from completion on our house in Belton, I say house as its never truly felt a home! however our worldly possessions are going into storage on Tuesday and we are heading for the ferry on Saturday morning..with no going back! Just moving forwards into happiness-we hope!!
We are viewing houses all over Lewis- Ballalan, Point, Ness,South Lochs, Garrabost...but to name a few!! We hope to secure our forever home in the next few weeks and are renting before then.....
as stressful as it seems we will be looking out over the sea, taking the kids to the beach, looking up at the stars with no streetlights! and not worrying about money..for now! As we need a home, a long life happy home for our children..wish us luck on our journey..as not many others would risk everything they know for who knows what..but hey YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE!!! ;0) xxxxx

You absolutely and positively have my 100% support hun, you are doing a wonderful thing for you and your family by making dreams reality. No one can ever judge you for that, and if they do its because they are envious that they never made their dreams come true. Have a safe trip huni and those that you love and love you unconditionally in return are the only ones that you need worry about. xxxx

I am so behind you 100% you really deserve the best Linzi. Yes you will be much further away but we will visit as soon as is humanly possible. You want the best for the kids and im sure you have found it. Im so proud of you and what you have achieved. I am proud to be your Mum I dont think you will ever realise how proud i am of you.
