Evening :)
Well what a bloody farce!!!!!!!!!! we are finally due our furniture tommorow...after a lot of messing around and excuses from the removal company! However today takes the buscuit!!!
Our removal chaps got pulled by the police!!..yep the police!! and had to leave half of our belongings at ferrybridge toll place.wherever that is! They had illegally loaded the 'lorry' to a dangerous weight and where not allowed to continue...so IF our furniture ever arrives we are minus at least 3 pallet loads of stuff..including all our dining chairs,half the kids toys, and the chairs to go with the sofa too....well this is enough bloody rubbish for one day!! until the phone rings again!!!
The removal comapany who had booked the ferry 'didn't know' that the lorry would have to be teathered down onto the ferry incase of bad weather...apparantly calmac didnt inform them correctly...bloody funny considering that calmacs website is crystal clear as far as lorries go!!
So now the lorry..which isnt even owned by the firm is booked in to get relevant parts 'welded' to the lorry aso it can be teathered down...providing of course they can stumble across a teathering kit!!
the blokes driving the lorry have only just been informed that they will have to spend one night in ullpool and one night in stornoway and are apparantly livid...well join the bloody club!!!
We have been at the house painting since the crack of dawn and have the back insulated now..so its not all bad...we also have to be there from the crack of dawn tommorow to await the cooker..so its not all bad!!
but stressed is not even close!!!!!!! let down, totally taken the piss out of is more to the mark....the stuff dumped at ferrybridge is now back in hull!!!!! dont have a clue when it will get here...i am sure the incompetent morons cant achieve it...infact I am bloody surprised the can tie there own shoe laces!! I need a drink!!!!!!!!!! pftttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On another note...I will indeed owe tony a very large drink..thanks for the lend of the hoover and stripper ;0) much apprieciated xxx

ReplyDeleteCalmac is very clear on the rules, lashing points, road legal weights (so it wouldn't have made it onto the ferry if it was overweight) so they have no excuses.
Fingers crossed they get there with your stuff tomorrow.

weep or scream!! lol...i am crossing fingers too..will drop your hoover back round too...as for the 'stripper' I am Hoping to keep hold of HIM! for few more days..hes fab!!...if thats ok? :)
