Good morning campers ;0)
Well as the title suggests its a glorious day up here today so we are going to make the most of it and have a wander down to the beach...its funny because when we lived back in England a trip to the beach was a day out,a treat for the kids-candyfloss,arcades and fish and chips...yet up here its just clean white sand,shells and blue seas....no shops very few people and total peace! Its getting a regular thing our Sunday beach trip...though last week we gave up after 10mins as it was bloody cold!!
When I sit down and think of all the crap of the last week in truth it doesn't really matter as in reality we have 2 weeks and 5 days left until we get into our house and we won't be anywhere near here! Haven't seen anything of anyone...yesterday we just did the shopping and spent the day inside.
It truly is a different way of life up here...I am getting used to the shopping now..though I avoid tescos as its so packed in there on a weekend its chaos! but we can generally find everything we need in the co-op....the kids are enjoying school and again there's a big change in schooling! The teacher writes in the kids diaries everyday and they get homework everyday too..whereas at the old school the teachers didn't write in the diaries..nor did the kids! and we were lucky if they got sent home with one sheet of homework a week...so in that sense its another huge positive to life up here! I totally welcome the fact that the kids are actually having to work!! although they don't see the positive side of it as much as i do >;0)
so yep....beautiful beaches,peace and quiet,decent schooling,no huge shopping centres, Sundays! yes i am getting to enjoy Sundays and have adjusted to have everything in that we need! lol
negatives...our run in with the 'locals'...through no fault of our own!!
so see I can be positive....off to the beach it is..then back to homework and baking! .....enjoy your Sunday everyone...and remember its a day of rest...one day off a week won't hurt ;0)
